GlassCo with prize from competition “Best Bulgarian company”
For the fifth consecutive year, the best Bulgarian companies were awarded in the national competition “Best Bulgarian Company of the Year” organized by First Investment Bank. The special ceremony took place on 24 November at the Sofia City Art Gallery.
The winners were broadcast by an authoritative jury consisting of: Vassil Hristov – CEO of Fibank, Lachezar Bogdanov – managing partner in Industry Watch, financier Emil Harsev, sociologist Kancho Stoychev – co-founder of BBSS Gallup International and chairman of “Produced in Bulgaria – Union of Small and Medium Businesses “, Venelina Gocheva – Manager of” Media Group Bulgaria “, and Yordan Mateev – Editor-in-chief of Forbes Magazine Bulgaria.
Given the indications for economic recovery, this year’s focus was the potential for development of Bulgarian companies. Companies that demonstrate opportunities to cope in a competitive environment inside and outside the country, as well as the potential for entering new markets – both in Bulgaria and abroad – have been highly appreciated.
Visitors to the contest website www.naidobrafirma.bg have named the prize in the category “Audience Award” – first place won by Glasko Ltd. from Targovishte. The distinguished company is engaged in the design and processing of glass and mirrors for the furniture industry and construction and has been a leader in its field for 15 years now.
This year’s edition of the initiative was attended by 270 companies from 80 industries. These figures show that interest continues to grow with each subsequent year, the organizers say. The mission of the competition is to focus public attention on examples of sustainable business, to encourage strong business ideas and good business practices.
